WE FILMED A LOT OF TIME-LAPSE VIDEOS, SHOWING DOHA BANK'S STRIKING BUILDING FROM INSIDE AND OUT , AGAINST THE BACKDROP OF ULTRA-MODERN DOHA. TIMELAPSE PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALWAYS IMPRESSIVE – SO WE USED IT TO ILLUSTRATE THE DYNAMISM OF DOHA BANK, AS WELL AS THE CITY’S CONSTANTLY-CHANGING FACE.

qatar science and technology park
QSTP contacted dtm to create a multi-media campaign for their bid to win a prestigious IASP conference in 2014. Until now, this important international conferencehas has never been held in an Arabic country, and qstp was very keen to win it. with tough competition for the same bid coming from russia, poland and oman, it was important to create an original, innovative and modern campaign that would set qatar and qstp apart from the rest
dtm created a theme and overall idea for the campaign, and then produced 4 short videos to be included in the interactive brochure, a web-only intoduction video, and a final bid-presentation before the vote in June 2012 in estonia
dtm decided to base the whole campaign around the visual concept of the astrolabe. this is a fitting reminder of arabic scientific prowess in the old times and a symbol of what qstp is trying to achieve for the future of qatar and the arab nation as a whole
interactive video brochure
qstp and qmdi (the campaign organiser) produced a brochure with an LCD screen built-in. dtm created 4 introductory videos that were uploaded to the brochure: "about qatar", "qstp", "qncc" and 'sheikha mozah's vision'. being in business in qatar for such a long time, we were able to produce these in just a few days to meet the production deadline, from our own previously filmed footage. brochures were then sent to each of the voting member of iasp. within the brochure, each member had his / her personalized code and were invited to log in to the qstp website
when the recepients of the brochure logged on to qstp's website, they were greeted by name and this welcoming video was played for them. we introduced young mohammed kamal, a qatari and recent graduate from carnegie mellon, one of the universities within the qatar foundation campus. in a youthful and funny way, he welcomed the attendees and invited them to visit the qstp booth in estonia, where the vote was to be held in few weeksclick here to watch the QSTP Web Video for Estonia bid

finally the day came, and the qstp delegation went to estonia for the final pitch before the vote. mohammed, the web video's host, was the qatar delegation's MC. he introduced himself and then played this video, as the final stage of presentation before the vote. dtm coached mohammed on what to say and he was even given the original astrolabe from the films to carry in his handsclick here to watch the final video pitch
after seeing the first part of the qstp campaign, oman dropped their bid. after seeing qatar's presentation in estonia, russia also dropped out. In the end the vote was between qatar and poland. qatar won with over 4/5 of the vote. as a final touch, all iasp delegates were given a small souvenir to remind them of the bid: a tiny astrolabe.

dtm approached aspire katara hospitality to become one of the participating organizations in the new "explore qatar - global business hub" video, as hospitality is the branch of industry that is expanding rapidly in qataras part of the extended sponsorship shoot, aspire katara hospitality not only became a participant in explore qatar, but we produced a small video about each of its restaurants, as well as a mini-corporate film

the pearl qatar
at the start of production for the "explore qatar - lifestyle for all" film in 2011, dtm wanted to do anything we could to convince "the pearl qatar" to be a leading sponsor of the film. simply put - you can't make a film about luxury lifestyle in qatar and not include pearl island - the epitome of qatar luxury
"the pearl qatar" management was as visionary and as forward-looking as we hoped. The Pearl became a leading sponsor of the film and supported the production 100%.
explore qatar - lifestyle for all
as a large part of filming was done at the pearl, dtm ended up with lot of footage of the island. to show our gratitude to our sponsor, we delivered a 3-minute edit now being used by 'The Pearl Qatar' in their showrooms. We also produced a TV commercial which had high exposure on cnn and other satellite channels
